Hooked on EA's NCAA Football 2009
I couldn’t resist it any longer. After a conversation with somebody who told me that her husband was addicted to EA’s NCAA Football 2009, I had to order it for next day delivery. Of course, I punched in my order via Amazon thru my iPhone. Talk about immediate gratification!
Of course, the real gratification came when I fired up my first game – ASU vs. Cal. Ok, I acknowledge that like a lot of guys, I can become a tad bit dorky when it comes to sports video games. But, the very noticeable improvements in graphical presentation and gameplay were very impressive (all of this despite fact I was on the same XBox 360 console that I had been playing NCAA Football 2008 for the past year).

Now, the real sad part of the story is the fact that I am slowly reeling in my two young daughters to become sports video “gamers”. A head to head match up with my 5 1/2 year old may seem a bit “Great Santini” like, but she does enjoy the pageantry of college football! And, I agree to only run the ball so that game stays competitive!
Next up: getting the XBox actually wired up for the online component so that I can play other guys from around the country – now that’s just sad.
